Comfort zone

Nothing, grows in our comfort zone. We must be willing to be uncomfortable so that we can reach our true potential. So often, we dim our inner light so as to not make others around us uncomfortable. But, why? What do we gain by that? Sometimes we rather have people like us for who we are now, than step into our destiny and growing into who we were meant to be. Les Brown said, “people prefer known hell’s than unknown heavens.” Not everyone that starts the race with you will finish it with you. Some people in our lives were only meant for a season, so sometimes we must let go, even if it hurts. If people don’t help you grow then they are slowly killing your dreams. Words can be very powerful, so make sure you are kind to yourself. There is already so many people talking negatively to you, don’t pile on more. Skip the party and read a book, skip the club and take an educational class, never stop learning and seeking knowledge. Because your friends will be doing the same thing next weekend for years to come. You are not missing out on anything.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.
